Our family has been intrigued by alpacas for many years. In 2018, our curiosity about alpacas prompted us to attend our first alpaca show, hosted by MOPACA, in Kansas City, Missouri. Patty Hasselbring, of Hasselbring’s Harmony Ranch, was offering an Alpaca 101 class for beginners at the MOPACA show, and we signed up for it. After attending the class and spending the weekend interacting with alpaca owners and their alpacas, we knew we were hooked.

In 2019, we welcomed five Suri Alpacas to our farm and to our lives. Over the past several years, our herd has grown a bit larger, and we continue to enjoy the unique personalities of every alpaca that lives on Rainbow Road — even the ones that have a little attitude! Alpacas are never boring, and the joy they bring is infectious. Sharing our friendly, inquisitive herd of alpacas with our family, friends and community always makes us smile!
